The large group of women walked from Rajmahal Square to Master Canteen Square. Women from many different backgrounds joined the procession. They carried burning torches and chanted slogans. They wanted to show their full support for the new bill.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida spoke to the gathering. She stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the "Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam." He brought this bill to empower women across the country. The bill aimed to reserve 33 percent of seats for women in the Lok Sabha and all state assemblies. She criticized opposition parties like the Congress, Samajwadi Party, Aam Aadmi Party, DMK, and TMC for opposing the measure. She said these parties only focus on promoting women from their own political families. She added that the current government wants to give power to ordinary women. She reminded the crowd that women have already proved their skills in education, health, science, and the military.

This recent rally is part of a much larger series of protests across the state. Earlier, on the 22nd of the month, the party held a massive foot march in the capital city. Following that event, party members organized district-level meetings and marches on the 24th and 25th. These district events received strong public support. Now, the party is organizing similar protests at the local levels across the state. The women plan to keep raising their voices until they achieve their goals.
