BHUBANESWAR: (Report- Lipikarani Raut): Citizens in Bhubaneswar gathered today to celebrate the 178th birth anniversary of Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das. Organisers and locals proudly call this special day Madhu Jayanti. The meaningful celebration took place early in the morning at 7:00 AM. People met at the popular Madhusudan Park, which sits in the Pokhariput area of the city. The beautiful morning event brought local residents and community leaders together to honor a great regional hero.
The Organisers and Their Mission
A prominent local organisation planned and hosted this event. The Biswa Shree Jagannath Chetana Mahasatsang and Research Foundation took the lead. Specifically, their "Shree Jagannath Mahayoga" branch arranged the morning programme. The group wanted to make sure the community remembers the great contributions of Madhubabu. He stands as a key architect of modern Odisha. He dedicated his entire life to the progress of the state and the welfare of its people.
The Morning Tribute
The morning programme started with a quiet and respectful tribute. The participants walked together into the park and gathered around the large statue of Madhusudan Das. They placed beautiful flower garlands on the statue to show their deep respect. After the garlanding ceremony, the organisers set up a special memorial meeting. They held this meeting right in front of the monument.
Leadership and Speeches
Engineer Professor Dr. Prasanna Kumar Swain led the memorial meeting. People also know him fondly as Professor Dr. Prasannaji. He serves as the Founder-Chairman of the research foundation and acts as the head of the Shree Jagannath Mahayoga group. He spoke warmly about the great qualities of Madhubabu. He encouraged everyone in the crowd to follow the strong ideals and the noble path shown by this great historical leader.
