Odisha Legislative Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy attended the grand celebration as the Chief Guest. She began the program by lighting the traditional lamp before Lord Jagannath. In her address, she spoke about the importance of Odia language and pride. She also highlighted that a school is the true source of moral, academic, intellectual, and social education for children.
During her speech, Speaker Padhy shared a strong message about the true purpose of education.
She stated, "The main goal of education is to hold the hands of the most marginalized people and bring them into the mainstream. Education is not just for earning certificates or medals."
She encouraged students to become friends of the environment and embrace the idea of "One Earth, One Family." She urged parents, guardians, and teachers—whom she called the builders of educational institutions—to guide students on the right path. She also remembered historical figures like Jajati Keshari and brave freedom fighter Gadadhar Palit of Bari, noting that their leadership continues to inspire us to build a great society.
