CUTTACK, August 1 (Rupashree Swetapadma Mohanty): The Cuttack Excise Intelligence and Enforcement Bureau Unit-1 (Flying Squad) cracked two separate illegal liquor transport cases on Friday. 
Cuttack Excise Raids: 2 Arrested With 130 Litres of Country Liquor


Excise officials arrested two individuals and seized a total of 130 litres of country liquor. They also impounded two scooters used to transport the alcohol. Officials estimate the total value of the seized liquor and vehicles at approximately Rs 1.86 lakh.
The excise team conducted the first raid near Kajipatna Square under Sadar Police Station limits. Officials arrested Trinath Behera and seized 50 litres of country liquor along with his TVS Jupiter scooter.
The team conducted the second raid near Balikuda Square under Sadar Police Station limits. Officials arrested Chittaranjan Kundu and seized 80 litres of country liquor along with his Honda Activa scooter.
Excise officials produced both accused in court, and the court sent them to judicial custody. Authorities have registered cases under the Odisha Excise Act and continue to investigate the supply chain.
