NAYAGARH, JUNE 20 (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): Mrs. Monalisha Debata visited several child care centers in Nayagarh district today. She works as the Deputy Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department. Her visit aimed to check the health and education of young children in rural areas. She wants to make sure government programs work well. She wants every child to get good food and proper care.

During her tour, she traveled to different parts of the district. First, she went to the Khandapada block. There, she inspected the Tentuliapalli Anganwadi center. After finishing her work there, she moved to the Nayagarh block. In this block, she visited two more centers. These centers are located in Sikharapur and Kridashapur. The local workers and villagers welcomed her warmly.
At each center, she checked the daily operations very carefully. She looked at the quality of the nutritious food. The center workers cook and serve this food to young children every day. She checked the kitchens to ensure they were clean. She wanted to confirm that the meals are safe and healthy. She also watched the teachers give pre-primary lessons. She observed the classrooms, the study materials, and the play areas.
Mrs. Debata spent a lot of time talking with the young boys and girls. She sat with them in their classrooms. She asked them simple questions about their daily lessons. The children smiled and talked to her happily. She also checked their physical growth records. She told the center workers to focus heavily on quality nutrition. She instructed them to give the children proper care, love, and a good basic education.
Many local government officers traveled with the Deputy Secretary. The District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) joined the tour. The District Coordinator for the Poshan program also attended the visit. The District Coordinator for DHEW was present as well. The local Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) and sector supervisors helped guide the trip. These officials answered her questions about the local centers. They noted down her advice. They promised to improve the daily services.
This official visit brings a positive change to the local child care system. Regular checks help improve the quality of government services. The local workers feel motivated to do their jobs better. Parents also feel happy when senior officers care about their kids. The department plans to organise more visits like this soon. They want to help every child grow up strong and smart.
