The police took quick action and arrested the man responsible for the incident. The event took place on a Friday in the Dihasahi area of Shankarpur. The officer works hard to update important voter records for the city. This event surprised the local community.

The officer is Pradeep Jena. He normally works as a teacher at the Shankarpur Primary School. The government also gave him the special role of a Booth Level Officer. While Pradeep did his work, a man stopped him on the street. The man appeared to be heavily intoxicated. He started yelling at the officer. He loudly asked Pradeep why he needed to collect the data. The man wrongly stated that Pradeep wanted to steal personal information from the residents. He then tried to stop the official work entirely. The angry man grabbed and tore up important government papers. Next, he physically harmed the officer. He threatened to cause severe harm to Pradeep. He used an object to injure the officer's ear and hands.

The police identified the attacker as Jagannath Jena. People in the area also call him Lucky. He lives in the Nuasahi area of Shankarpur. The police shared more details about his past behavior. Jagannath breaks the law quite often. He already has six other police cases registered against him at the Badambadi Police Station. The quick police work brings relief to the local people.
