DASPALLA (Report- Subash Chandra Barik): Project Adhikar hosted public awareness camps in Daspalla to celebrate World Earth Day. The events took place in several villages, including Bulunda and Kandha Bhogabadi in the Bhogabadi Gram Panchayat, and Gunthapaju in the Tendabadi Gram Panchayat. Organizers Sarojini Mallick and Urmila Jani led the camps. The programs aimed to protect water, land, forests, the climate, and local wildlife.

Local ward members, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and many villagers attended the events. The participants worshipped the earth to show their respect. They took a strong pledge to keep the environment clean. The villagers promised to save water, stop forest fires, and plant more trees. They also decided to build plastic-free villages, avoid harmful chemicals, and use solar energy.
Project Officer Prabhat Kumar Sahoo explained the main goals of the campaign. He asked the community to stop polluting ponds, rivers, drinking water, and the air. He advised farmers to stop using toxic pesticides on their land so they can live healthier lives. Sahu noted that clean water, healthy land, and green forests support all living things. He urged everyone to give top priority to protecting nature.
