Cuttack, April 17, 2026 (Rupashree Swetapadma Mohanty): Tension gripped Sarvodaya Pur and Naik Sahi areas of Cuttack city after unidentified miscreants hurled stones and glass bottles at houses around 11 PM on Thursday.
Locals said the sudden attack on rooftops and windows left residents terrified. Two persons were injured and given first aid at a nearby hospital. Their condition is stable.
Badambadi police rushed to the spot and began investigation. The motive and identity of the attackers remain unclear. Police are questioning locals and scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas.
Patrolling has been intensified to maintain peace. Residents have demanded immediate arrest of the culprits, saying panic has spread in the locality.
