How the Program Works

Every year, the academy selects talented students from all over the state. The chosen students receive several major benefits:
  • Enrollment in government +2 Science colleges in Bhubaneswar.
  • Completely free lodging and meals at the Sigma Academy campus.
  • Free academic coaching to help them succeed in their future careers.
Many students from the Nayagarh district already benefit from this ongoing program.

Recent Selection Test in Nayagarh

On April 18, 2026, organisers held a new selection test to find bright students in the Nayagarh district. The event took place at the Prodigy Educare center in Debottar Colony. Three local organisations helped run the event:
  • Soham: A local NGO based in Nayagarh.
  • Auro Mira Trust: Based in Kural.
  • OSTA:The local Teachers' Union.
The applicants took a written exam based on the standard 10th-grade mathematics syllabus. Despite a severe heatwave, 19 students traveled from different parts of the district to participate. They attended the event with their parents and expressed great happiness about the opportunity. The academy will soon invite the selected students to begin their studies in Bhubaneswar.

Leadership and Future Goals

Sukanta Choudhury, manager of Auro Mira Trust, coordinated the program. Kamaksha Prasad Das, Secretary of Soham, and Kirti Pankaj Sarangi, founder of Prodigy Educare, also attended. The leaders spoke to the students and encouraged them to work hard and move forward in life.
At the end of the event, Sukanta Choudhury thanked all the partners on behalf of Sigma Academy. He asked the community for continued support so the academy can keep this process running in the coming years. He hopes even more students will participate next year.
The event closed with the inspiring message "Everyone reads, everyone grows."
