NAYAGARH, April 18, 2026: (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): Organisers launched the CM Trophy Inter-Club and Inter-District Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. The opening event took place at the Nayagarh Stadium ground. 
The District Sports Department and the District Athletic Association hosted this sports competition. Lagnajit Rout, the Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, joined the event as the chief guest. He met the players, shook their hands, and praised their strong sporting spirit.
Senior journalist Ramakrishna Rath hosted the opening ceremony. District Sports Officer Sujata Sahu attended the event as the guest of honor. She spoke to the athletes and motivated them to play their best.
At the end of the ceremony, District Athletic Association Secretary Ashesh Kumar Das gave a thank-you speech. Vice President Bhawani Shankar Das, Joint Secretary Binayak Prasad Rao, and committee member Nishikant Mohanty actively helped organise the event.
A team of physical education trainers successfully managed the matches. Sanyasi Pradhan, Umakant Mishra, Pradipta Chittaranjan Sahoo, Ashish Patnaik, and Biranchi Narayan Behera worked together to ensure the games ran smoothly and peacefully.
