Sacred Rituals and Special Decor

The temple priests began the day early with traditional rituals. They performed the Mangala Alati, Majana, and Abhishek to sanctify the deities. Following ancient traditions, the twin goddesses—Tara and Tarini—were dressed in the Mahalakshmi Besha. Devotees waited in long queues to catch a glimpse of the deities in this beautiful golden attire, seeking blessings for wealth and prosperity.

Administrative Arrangements

The district administration made extensive arrangements to handle the sea of followers. To ensure a smooth experience, several measures were put in place:
  • Crowd Control: Police personnel were stationed at key points to manage the rush.
  • Safety Measures: Security checks and medical camps were available for the pilgrims.
  • Supervision: Senior administrative officers remained on-site throughout the day to monitor the festival's progress.
Despite the large numbers, the festival proceeded peacefully as devotees celebrated one of South Odisha's most significant religious events.
