BHUBANESWAR: The first phase of the official census begins today across the state. In preparation, the Odisha Directorate of Census Operations held a high-level review meeting yesterday at the Janaganana Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

Directives to Officials

During the session, Dr. Padhee urged the nodal officers to perform their duties with complete sincerity. He stressed that their dedication is vital for the successful execution of the 2027 Census.
Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, the Director of the State Census Operations, also addressed the team. He instructed the officers to prioritize accurate data collection, noting that the quality of the census depends on the correctness of the information gathered on the ground.
The administration has fully geared up to ensure that the process remains smooth and transparent.
