Nuapada: (Report- Malaya Meher): The administration in Nuapada district has officially started its preparations for the upcoming National Census 2027. To ensure a smooth and accurate data collection process, the district recently organised the first phase of its training program for government officials.
Nuapada Starts First Phase Training for National Census 2027

In this initial stage, 50 selected officials participated in intensive training sessions. These individuals will serve as the primary team responsible for collecting vital information from citizens. The district administration has designed these workshops to teach officials how to handle complex data and interact effectively with the public.

The primary goal of this training is accuracy. These officials will soon conduct door-to-door visits across the district. During these visits, they will record details about every household. By providing high-quality training now, the government aims to eliminate errors and ensure that the final census report is completely reliable.
To make the training process efficient, the administration has set up multiple centers within the Khariar Block. The first phase of the program took place at three prominent locations:
  • Khariar Raja Artatran High School
  • Khariar Government Girls' High School
  • Loharapali High School
By using local schools as training hubs, the district can reach more staff members without requiring them to travel long distances. The government plans to conduct the training in several phases. This approach allows smaller groups of officials to receive personalized attention and clear their doubts before the field work begins.
Why This Census Matters
The National Census is a massive exercise that happens every few years. The data collected during this period helps the government plan new roads, schools, hospitals, and social welfare schemes. Since the information gathered in 2027 will guide the district's development for the next decade, the Nuapada administration is leaving no stone unturned.
The officials are being taught to use digital tools and traditional forms to capture the most precise data possible. As the training continues, more batches of officials will join the program to cover every corner of the district.
