BHUBANESWAR: The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a weather warning for Odisha, predicting thunderstorms and rain across several districts until April 3. This update comes as the state deals with an intense summer heatwave.

Temperature Extremes

In the last 24 hours, Odisha experienced a wide range of temperatures:
  • Highest Temperature: Titlagarh recorded a peak of 41.8°C.
  • Lowest Temperature: Rayagada saw a minimum of 18.2°C.

Storm Warning (Yellow Alert)

Weather experts forecast Nor'westers (Kalabaishakhi) in various parts of the state. These storms may bring heavy rain and lightning. Winds are expected to reach speeds of 40 to 50 km/h.
The following districts are under a Yellow Alert:
  • Khordha and Cuttack
  • Kendrapara and Mayurbhanj
  • Baleswar and Keonjhar
  • Kalahandi and Rayagada
  • Gajapati and Ganjam
