Nayagarh: (Report- Ramakrushna Rath):  A significant addition to Odisha’s historical literature, the book Nayagarh Itihasa (History of Nayagarh), was officially released on Friday. Authored by young historian Prashant Das, the book chronicles the glorious saga of four ancient princely states (Gadajats).

The launch ceremony took place at the Maa Saraswati Temple premises within the historic Nayagarh Jagannath Temple complex.

Distinguished Guests and Proceedings

Senior journalist Ramakrishna Rath hosted the event and provided the opening remarks, setting the stage for the unveiling. A group of esteemed guests joined hands to officially release the book. The dignitaries included: Pradipta Pattnaik (Noted Litterateur), Ranjit Dash (President, District Bar Association), Nirmal Chandra Shurdeo, Godabarish Mishra (Poet), Ambika Swain (Writer) and Kishan Das (Councilor)

Book Review and Reception

During the event, Pradipta Pattnaik presented a detailed review of the book, analyzing its content and importance from beginning to end. The ceremony attracted a large gathering of local intellectuals and educationists who came to support the work.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the author, Prashant Das, who expressed his gratitude to the guests and the audience.
