KHORDHA: (Report- Sanatan Mahakud): Sri Ramakrishna Sevashram, located in Tikatal, Pichukuli, within the Bolagarh block, recently organised a winter relief distribution camp. This initiative aimed to support underprivileged individuals and people with disabilities during the harsh winter season. The event took place in Brundabanpur village, which falls under the Ranpur block of Nayagarh district.

Distribution of Essential Supplies

During the program, the Sevashram distributed 100 blankets to those in need. These blankets were provided by Swami Apteswarananda Maharaj, the Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama in Puri. The distribution drive focused on ensuring that the most vulnerable members of the community have protection against the cold.

The event featured a formal meeting presided over by noted educationist Prasanna Kumar Rath. Several distinguished guests shared their thoughts on the importance of community service:
  • Main Speaker: Lecturer Jayashree Sahoo attended as the chief guest. In her address, she highlighted the core philosophy of Ramakrishna and Vivekananda. She emphasized that serving humanity is equivalent to serving the Divine.
  • Honored Guest: Lecturer Sarbeswar Sahoo spoke about the "Ramakrishna Bhava Andolan." He explained how the movement prioritizes the values of sacrifice and selfless service to uplift society.

The successful execution of this winter relief camp was the result of dedicated teamwork. Key members of the Ashrama played a vital role in managing the logistics and ensuring the blankets reached the rightful recipients.
