Kolkata: (Reported by Sanatan Mahakud): Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, President of Pragyan Foundation was conferred with the prestigious “Vedanta Ratna” Award by the World Vedanta Society at a distinguished ceremony held at the Press Club, Kolkata, on December 11, 2025 by the hands of Dr. Ashok Ray, renowned Gynaecologist; in the presence of several eminent personalities from the fields of medicine, academia, diplomacy, entrepreneurship, sports, and culture, lending dignity and significance to the occasion.

Among those present were Dr. Ranjini Dutta, Head of Department, KPC Medical College; Mr. Sourav Chakraborty, Officer at the Consulate General of Mongolia; Dr. Kaushik Dasgupta, entrepreneur and cricket coach based in Australia; Dr. Romi Ray, eminent paediatrician; and Mrs. Ranu Roy, noted filmmaker.

The honor was bestowed in recognition of his outstanding and sustained contribution to the study, propagation, and preservation of Vedanta, as well as for his exemplary scholarship, spiritual leadership, and dedicated service towards the revival and dissemination of India’s spiritual heritage. While accepting the honour, Dr. Agarwal expressed his deep gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to the timeless wisdom of Vedanta.
