Bhubaneswar: In the 11th edition of the "People’s Chief Minister’s" public grievance redressal program, 14 individuals received immediate financial aid for medical treatment. Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi personally listened to the concerns of differently-abled and critically ill patients, ensuring swift action through a single-window system for relief distribution.
The grievance cell, set up at Unit-2 in Bhubaneswar, saw active participation from citizens, with around 1,000 complaints registered online. Alongside the CM, six senior ministers and top bureaucrats, including Additional Chief Secretaries and Secretaries, were present to address public concerns. The Chief Minister directed concerned ministers and department heads to take necessary actions to resolve the issues raised.
A Direct Connection with the People
As part of his routine, the Chief Minister arrived early in the morning to meet people waiting outside the venue, including those with disabilities and chronic illnesses. He patiently heard their grievances and assured them of prompt resolutions. Financial Aid for Medical Treatment
Today, 14 beneficiaries from different districts received a total of ₹13.5 lakh for medical expenses. The recipients included:- Santosh Biswal (Nayagarh) – ₹50,000
- Bishnucharan Sahoo (Jajpur) – ₹1 lakh
- Laxmidhar Sethi (Bhadrak) – ₹1 lakh
- Sattwik Kar (Cuttack) – ₹1 lakh
- Nabin Kumar Sethi (Keonjhar) – ₹2 lakh
- -Sunita Choudhury (Mayurbhanj) – ₹1 lakh
- Prashant Kumar Panda (Cuttack) – ₹50,000
- Nilakantha Pradhan & Jadumani Karmi (Boudh) – ₹1 lakh each
- Chhaya Nayak (Ganjam) – ₹1 lakh
- Buddhia Mandal (Bhadrak) – ₹1 lakh
- Kamala Nayak (Nabarangpur) – ₹1 lakh
- Kailash Palai (Khordha) – ₹1 lakh
- Suresh Kumar Jenna (Cuttack) – ₹50,000
Strengthening Trust in Governance
Addressing the media, CM Majhi emphasized that public trust in the grievance redressal system has grown significantly."People are approaching us with various issues, and we are committed to delivering justice continuously," he said.
He assured that the government is actively listening to complaints and taking corrective measures to support the poor and vulnerable.
The Chief Minister also announced plans to expand the public hearing program to the district level, ensuring accessibility for citizens in remote areas. Progress in Grievance Redressal
