NUAPADA, (Report - Malaya Meher): The District Industries Centre and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department organised an awareness programme at Sinapali Degree College on Friday, August 21. The Government of Odisha designed this event to teach students about business operations. The program aimed to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and self-reliance among young people in the Nuapada district.

Officials designed the session to show students the different opportunities available for new business owners. The government wants to help young people start their own companies. To achieve this goal, the state provides support systems through the Startup Odisha initiative. During the event, industry experts explained these support systems to the college students.
Karmi Oram, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Sinapali, attended the event as the chief guest. He officially inaugurated the program. Oram spoke to the attendees about the economic future of the country. He stated that young people must create opportunities for innovation. He explained that business ownership plays a major role in building a developed India. Oram also outlined the government's commitment to the youth. He noted that the state encourages young people to become self-reliant by working within the MSME sector.
Other local officials also addressed the students. Samir Muduli, the General Manager of the District Industries Centre, spoke at the gathering. Rajanikanta Meher attended as an honored guest, and Khetramohan Duria represented the college faculty as a lecturer. These speakers discussed the importance of business ownership. They encouraged the students to think about innovative ideas. They also advised the students to look for new commercial opportunities in their local area.

The college students actively participated in the educational sessions. The organisers briefed the attendees about various government schemes. The students learned about the specific incentives and financial assistance programs available to them. The MSME department provides these financial resources to help individuals launch new companies. The students gathered practical information about the Startup Odisha initiatives.
Several individuals worked together to manage the event. Sunil Oram, the Block Coordinator, and Nitesh Kumar Meher, the College Coordinator, organized the logistics. They coordinated the schedules and supported the successful completion of the educational program.
The event finished with a direct instruction for the youth. The organizers advised the students to move beyond seeking traditional employment. Instead, they told the youth to become job creators. By starting new businesses, the students will create jobs for other people. The officials stated that this process will directly contribute to the overall economic development of the Nuapada region.
