SINAPALI, August 21 (Reported by Malaya Meher): The government built a rural children's park in Bharuamunda village. The authorities designed this park to provide a safe play area and recreation center for local children. The park sits directly in front of the local Gram Panchayat office. However, the facility currently faces severe neglect. The responsible departments do not maintain the park. Over time, the lack of care has changed the location completely. The play area no longer looks like a park. Instead, it looks like a wild jungle. Thick bushes, wild grass, and large weeds cover the entire area. 
The maintenance staff does not clean the park regularly. Because of this, wild plants grow everywhere inside the boundary. The thick vegetation blocks the walking paths. The overgrown grass hides the play equipment. Children cannot enter the park safely. They cannot use the open spaces to run and play. The thick bushes make the area very difficult to access. The local authorities built this park with a specific purpose. They wanted children to have a healthy outdoor environment. Today, the park completely fails to serve that original purpose.
