Nuapada, August 28 (Reported by Malay Meher): The Students Blood Donors Association of Nuapada organised a community event on August 28. The group hosted a Raksha Bandhan programme for the soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The association held this event at the 19th Battalion CRPF camp in the Pagarapani area. 
Soldiers of the CRPF work far away from their homes and families. They perform daily duties to maintain national security. Because of their continuous work schedules, these soldiers often miss local festivals. The Students Blood Donors Association planned this specific event to support the security personnel. The organisers wanted to include the soldiers in the local festival activities.
During the programme, female members of the association visited the military camp. They brought traditional rakhis with them to the venue. The women tied these rakhis on the wrists of the CRPF soldiers. While tying the threads, the women spoke with the soldiers. They wished the security personnel good health and long lives. They also wished the soldiers success in their daily security operations.
The soldiers accepted the rakhis and interacted with the visitors. They thanked the women for their time and effort. This interaction created a positive and friendly environment inside the military base.
