BHUBANESWAR, 2 August: President Droupadi Murmu will start a three-day official visit to Odisha tomorrow. During the tour, the President will attend several educational, cultural, and official events across four key locations: Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Brahmapur, and Taptapani in Ganjam district. State authorities and police forces have completed comprehensive preparations to support the schedule.

Day One: Focus on Higher Education in Cuttack

  • University Inauguration: The President will travel to Cuttack to inaugurate the Jagadguru Kripalu University.
  • Academic Address: She will address students, faculty members, and academic administrators during the opening ceremony.
  • Institutional Tour: University officials will guide the President through the new campus facilities and academic blocks.

Day Two: Visit to Southern Odisha and Ganjam District

  • Temple Visit: On Tuesday, President Murmu will proceed to southern Odisha. She will visit the Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple near Taptapani in Ganjam district to offer formal prayers.
  • Official Meetings: Following the temple visit, she will participate in scheduled government and community programs in Brahmapur and surrounding areas.
  • Regional Interaction: She will meet local representatives and organisers before returning to the state capital.

Day Three: Programs in Bhubaneswar

The President will conclude her tour with official engagements in Bhubaneswar. 
She will depart for New Delhi after completing her scheduled meetings with state officials.

Authorities have deployed approximately 40 platoons of police across Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Traffic departments have issued public advisories to manage vehicle movement along the designated routes.

Emergency medical teams, fire safety units, and communication squads will remain on standby throughout the visit.
