The government calls this initiative the "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan." The Prime Minister stated that India needs physically fit, mentally strong, and confident youth to achieve the goal of becoming a developed nation (Viksit Bharat). He advised young people to avoid harmful substances and choose a healthy daily routine. 
The Prime Minister explained that addiction stops individuals from reaching their career goals and personal targets. He noted that substance abuse harms family stability and reduces the overall productivity of the country. He urged citizens to understand these practical consequences and support young people in making constructive life choices.
Families should watch for specific behavioral changes that may indicate substance use. Spending excessive time alone and avoiding regular family conversations. Displaying unusual conduct or sudden changes in daily habits. Staying out late without a clear reason. Asking for money frequently without explaining the expense.
