PATANA, KEONDUJHAR — AUGUST 2 (Report - Karttik Behera): The Patana Block Administration in Keondujhar district convened a formal preparatory meeting today at the block headquarters to plan the upcoming 79th Independence Day celebrations. The Block Development Officer (BDO) chaired the session and instructed all departmental heads to ensure disciplined and organised arrangements for the national event. 
During the meeting, officials reviewed the complete schedule of events for August 15. The administration examined several core logistical and ceremonial requirements to manage the public gathering safely and efficiently.
Officials finalized the timeline for the official flag-hoisting ceremony, the national anthem presentation, and the inspection of the parade. The committee coordinated with educational institutions to organise marching contingents, drill displays, and student cultural programs. Police representatives outlined practical measures to maintain crowd control, regulate vehicular traffic, and secure the primary celebration venue. The administration directed sanitation teams to clean the parade ground, access roads, and surrounding public areas ahead of the event. Authorities assigned specific duties to provide clean drinking water, stable electricity, and emergency medical support at the venue.
