Bhanjanagar, (Report- Jayakrishna Patnaik): Police in the Ganjam district arrested four members of an inter-state gang on Saturday. This arrest solves a series of recent burglaries in the area.

Recently, many thefts took place across the district. To stop these crimes, the Ganjam Superintendent of Police ordered officers to form a special team. Inspector Jibanananda Jena led this team. The officers successfully caught the gang members just as they were planning to sell the stolen jewelry.
The police arrested A. Putu Raju, A. Nagaraju, Jitu Nahak, and M. Munna. These four men took part in five different thefts across the Bhanjanagar, Tarasingh, Jagannath Prasad, and Buguda areas.
Officers recovered a large amount of stolen goods from the group. They seized 66 grams of gold jewelry and 2.9 kilograms of silver. They also found and took the tools the gang used to break into houses.
One of their recent crimes happened on the night of the 17th. The gang broke the back door of Sushil Kumar Panda's house in Bada Tulasipalli village. They entered the house and took a 13-gram gold chain while the family slept. Mr. Panda reported the crime to the Bhanjanagar police, which helped the officers track down the gang.
Bhanjanagar SDPO Dr. Deepak Kumar Mishra shared these details during a press meeting at the local police station. Several other police officers, including Inspector Jena, attended the meeting to confirm the successful operation.
