Cuttack Police Bust Secret Liquor Den: 61 Liters Seized, 1 Arrested!

The successful raid started with a helpful secret tip. A reliable source gave the police important information about the illegal business. The source told the police that someone was selling illegal drinks quietly in a nearby village. The officers listened carefully to this information. They quickly formed a special team at the Godisahi outpost. The team planned their next steps very carefully to catch the suspect without causing any trouble in the neighborhood.
The police team went straight to Bentua village, which falls under the Barang police station area. They searched a quiet paddy field in the village. There, they found an old, empty house. The illegal business was running right behind this abandoned building. The suspect chose this hidden spot to avoid the police. However, the police team surprised the suspect. They arrived at the location quickly and surrounded the area.
During the search, the officers caught one person selling the illegal liquor. The suspect could not escape the area. The police checked the spot closely and found a large amount of local liquor hidden there. The seller stored the liquid safely inside plastic bags and large jerrycans. The officers counted the items and took away all the materials to stop the business completely.
After the successful catch, the officers took the arrested person to the Barang police station. They officially recorded the crime. The police filed a strict case against the suspect under the rules of the Odisha Excise Act. Now, the investigating officers are asking the suspect more questions. They want to find out if other people are helping run this illegal trade.
The Cuttack Commissionerate Police shared a clear message after this event. They promised to stop all illegal trades in the city and nearby villages. The police officers asked local citizens to share any useful information about hidden crimes. They want to work together with the public. This recent raid proves that the police work hard every day to ensure total safety and peace for everyone.
