Titilagarh: (Report- Tirthankar Patel): Officials in Titilagarh held an important meeting to prepare for the upcoming Rath Yatra festival. They gathered at the local Kalyan Mandap. Padmanabh Samantaray, the Sub-Collector and President of the Dhabaleswar Dadhibaman Trust, led the meeting. However, an unexpected argument stopped the meeting for a short time.
Right at the start of the meeting, a man named Hari Bahidar stood up to speak. He talked about a topic that was not on the main agenda. He asked the officials to bring back the temple land from people who currently hold it. This topic quickly created tension in the room.
The Sub-Collector started to answer this man. This action upset the temple servitors. The servitors asked the Sub-Collector why he answered questions outside the main plan without stopping the speaker. They spoke loudly and showed their anger. The servitors argued with the Sub-Collector for a long time. The situation became very heated. Finally, the Sub-Collector decided to stay completely silent. His silence helped to calm down the angry people and bring back peace to the hall.
Many important guests attended the meeting. Navin Jain, the local Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), sat on the main stage. He watched the whole argument but did not say a single word. His silence surprised many people in the room.
After the room became quiet, the officials went back to their main work. They discussed how to manage the Rath Yatra and the return journey, known as the Bahuda Yatra. They wanted to ensure everything happens peacefully.
The committee made many final decisions. They talked about building the wooden chariots. The police officers promised to control the city traffic and maintain law and order. The committee also planned the street lighting, drinking water supply, and live public announcements. They arranged for traditional music, including holy chants and bell ringing. They also planned the food distribution for the devotees. The members decided to decorate the Mausi Maa temple beautifully. They planned daily musical programs and food offerings at the temple during the festival days.
Other important leaders shared their ideas during the meeting. Mamata Devi Jain, the Municipality Chairperson, and Yasobant Narayan Pradhani, the senior police officer, attended the event. Business leaders and several temple servitors also gave helpful suggestions to improve the festival.
At the end of the program, Tusharkant Mahala, the Public Relations Officer, gave the vote of thanks. Officers from many government departments came to the meeting. These included the Municipality, Electricity, Fire, Public Works, and Health departments. They all promised to work together to make the grand festival a big success.
