Central Sanskrit University has officially released the seat allotment list for the Sikhya Shastri (BEd) program for the 2026-2027 academic session. A massive group of students from Odisha successfully secured their seats in various campuses across the country. The university selected these candidates based entirely on their National Testing Agency (NTA) examination marks.
Top Achievers Lead the Way
The recently published results highlight the brilliant performance of Odisha students. The highest scorer among the Odisha candidates achieved an impressive 268 marks. The university allotted this top student (NTA Roll Number OR160100096) to the Shri Sadashiv Campus under the Traditional stream. Another high achiever scored 263 marks and also secured a seat at the same campus. The competition remained incredibly tight, with the top ten students from the state all scoring above 245 marks.
Preferred Campuses for Odisha Students
When reviewing the campus allotments, the Shri Sadashiv Campus clearly emerges as the most popular destination. This makes perfect sense, as the campus is located in Puri, Odisha, making it highly convenient for local students. However, many students will also travel outside their home state to pursue their teaching degrees. The university distributed other successful candidates across several prestigious locations, including:
Bhopal Campus
Jaipur Campus
Rajiv Gandhi Campus
Lucknow Campus
Guruvayoor Campus
Ved Vyas Campus
Ekalavya Campus
Shri Maharaja Ranbir Singh Campus
Fair and Diverse Selection
The official allotment list covers a wide variety of academic backgrounds and communities. The university divided the admitted students into two primary streams: Traditional and Modern. Both streams attracted strong enrollment numbers from the state. Furthermore, the selection process ensured fair representation across the board. The university admitted students from all major categories, including General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST). The list also honors special reservations, awarding seats to candidates under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Sports quota, and the Single Girl Child (SGC) category.
Next Steps for Candidates
This diverse selection highlights the university's commitment to inclusive education. The Sikhya Shastri program offers excellent, high-quality training for future Sanskrit teachers. These young scholars will soon begin their journey to become educators, and experts expect them to play a massive role in promoting the Sanskrit language. Successful candidates must now prepare for the final admission phase. They need to visit the official Central Sanskrit University web portal to download their formal allotment letters. Finally, the students must gather their original documents, pay the required admission fees, and report directly to their allotted campuses before the final university deadline.
