Nayagarh: (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): Sangeetadhara, a local cultural and spiritual group, will host the finals of a district-level devotional singing competition on the 20th of this month. The organisers will hold the event at the Golden Jubilee Hall of Nayagarh Autonomous College.

The group has successfully finished the early rounds across all eight blocks in the district. They selected 51 talented singers from these first rounds. These singers will compete in the semi-finals on the 20th. The judges will pick the top 10 singers from the semi-finals to perform in the final round. The organisers will crown the best devotional singer of the district later that same day.
The competition offers attractive prizes for the top performers. The first-place winner will earn the special title "Nayagarh Sangeeta Kallola." This winner will also receive a cash prize of 11,000 rupees, a trophy, and a certificate. The second-place winner will get 5,000 rupees, a trophy, and a certificate. The third-place winner will take home 3,000 rupees, a trophy, and a certificate. Additionally, the organisers will give certificates to all semi-final and final participants to encourage their musical journeys.
Sangeetadhara recently held a special meeting to plan this large event. Famous radio singer Prashant Kumar Dash attended the meeting. Other well-known singers like Nabakishore Mishra, Prashant Patnaik, Pradip Kumar Sahu, Prafulla Kumar Nayak, Pradipta Kumar Dakua, and Pragalbha Ashok Mall also joined the discussion. Event coordinator Lakshmidhar Sahu helped guide the meeting. They all shared ideas to make the event run smoothly.
