ABU DHABI, 23/05 (Report- Tirthankar Patel): Dhabi recently witnessed a grand celebration of Odia culture and language. The Odia Samaj Abu Dhabi (OSA) organised "Utkarsh-2026" to celebrate Utkal Divas. People enjoyed the event with great joy and enthusiasm. The beautiful "Pixoul" auditorium hosted this annual cultural festival. This modern venue sits right near the Arabian Sea coast. For a few hours, the entire auditorium looked just like a mini Odisha. 
Over 500 Odia people attended the grand program. They traveled from different parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to join the celebration. Mr. Saugat Nayak, the President of Odia Samaj Abu Dhabi, led and chaired the event.
Dr. Deepak Mittal, the Indian Ambassador to the UAE, attended the festival as the Chief Guest. Dr. Mittal strongly praised the Odia community. He thanked them for keeping their rich traditions alive in a foreign land. Mrs. Sofia Firdous, a Member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, joined the event as a Guest of Honor. She gave a wonderful speech about the glorious heritage and traditions of Odisha. Mr. Debashish Patnaik also attended as a Guest of Honor and praised the excellent organisation.
Mr. Pradeep Kumar Rath, the Advisor of the Samaj, spoke about the golden history of the Odia people. He also delivered a warm vote of thanks to everyone. During this special occasion, the main guests released a new book. They officially unveiled the eighth edition of the annual souvenir magazine named "Pravasi Utkarsh".
The festival featured amazing musical and cultural programs. Local artists from the Odia Samaj performed traditional dances and sang lovely songs. These beautiful performances completely mesmerized the audience. Famous Odia singers Sashank Sekhar and Diptirekha Padhi sang popular songs. Their music made the crowd feel very happy and emotional.
Sanjeeb Kumar, a well-known presenter from Odisha, managed the stage perfectly. Yogesh Jojo, a famous comedian from Sambalpur, presented a great comedy act. He made everyone laugh out loud. The organizers also planned a bright and colorful fashion show. Fashion designer Deepika Goud supported the show, while Swati Das and Shubhra Samal led the fashion team. After the cultural events, all the guests enjoyed a massive feast. They ate delicious, traditional Odia food and remembered their homeland.
Many dedicated members worked very hard to make "Utkarsh-2026" totally successful. Dr. Himanshu Das and Mr. Kartik Singh provided valuable guidance. A large core team organized everything perfectly. This active team included Siddharth Das, Sukarna Behera, Jitendra Mishra, Sushant Mohapatra, Chinmay Nayak, Sambit Kumar Mohanty, and T. Keshav Rao. Several other volunteers also helped manage the daily activities.
At the end of the night, President Saugat Nayak shared a positive message. He promised to organize many more cultural gatherings in the coming days.
