NAYAGARH, May 4: (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): Saroj Kumar Jena achieved the top position in the Nayagarh district during the recent Matriculation examinations. Today, Nayagarh District Collector Madhumita Rath honored the young student for his outstanding success.
The special ceremony took place at the official workplace of the District Collector in Nayagarh. Several important guests attended the event to support the student. Anchalika High School Headmaster Antaryami Pati joined the proud celebration. Teacher Panchanan Tripathi and the local CRCC officer also attended the meeting. District Collector Madhumita Rath praised Saroj for his strong dedication. She handed him special gifts and wished him a bright future.
Saroj scored an impressive 572 marks in his board exams. This high score brought great pride to his family and the entire Nayagarh district. Saroj lives in Koska village, which is located inside the Kridashpur Panchayat.
The young topper faced major challenges during his childhood. His father, Gadadhar Jena, passed away in an accident. His mother, Jasmini Jena, raised him with deep love and care. His grandfather, Binayak Jena, played a very important role in his life. The grandfather took full responsibility for the boy. He managed all educational expenses and guided Saroj toward this great academic success.
Saroj completed his studies at the Anchalika High School in Kridashpur. Local villagers joined hands to establish this school in the year 1992. The school received a government block grant in 2004. However, even after 34 years, the institution still waits for full government recognition.
The school management battles many serious problems every day. Some of the original staff members recently retired. These retired staff include one teacher, one clerk, and one night watchman. The school urgently requires two new teachers and one new clerk to run smoothly. The school staff also faces financial troubles. They struggle to pay basic electricity bills and cannot provide computers for the students.
Despite these daily struggles, the school produces excellent academic results every single year. The hardworking teachers guide the students very well. This year, the school reached a new milestone by delivering the district topper. Saroj proves that strong willpower and hard work can defeat any difficult situation.
