BHUBANESWAR, May 1, 2026: (Report- Lipikarani Raut): The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) celebrated the 121st birth anniversary of Guru Gomke Pandit Raghunath Murmu on Friday. Party members gathered across the city to remember the great leader. They praised his lifelong dedication to the Santali community and his efforts to uplift society.
The political leaders started the day by visiting his statue. The statue stands at Niladri Vihar in Sitanath Nagar. This area falls under Ward Number 14 of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation. Senior party leaders and grassroots workers placed flower garlands on the statue. They paid deep respect to the great son of the soil. They remembered him as a true voice for cultural and social awakening.
