Rayagada: (Report- Akash Kumar Nayak): The Aditya Alumina Refinery Project recently launched a major skill development program. The company calls this program "Project Kaushal 2.0." The company started this initiative at its project office in Kansariguda, located in the Kashipur block of the Rayagada district. This program serves as a key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort. It aims to provide valuable skill training and better job opportunities to local young men and women.
The launch event featured a special onboarding ceremony. This ceremony welcomed the second batch of ITI trainees and the very first batch of diploma trainees. A massive crowd attended the gathering. More than 700 local residents from the Kashipur and Lakshmipur areas joined the event. The audience included public representatives, local intellectuals, young students, and their parents.
Dr. Mazhar Beig inaugurated the event. He serves as the Unit Head and President of the project. Many senior officials also attended the ceremony. These officials included Basudev Khuntia (Head of F&C), Ramesh Chandra Dubbada (Head of Construction), and Brigadier Pratap Padhi (Head of Admin and Security). Other key leaders present were Mrutyunjay Lenka, Deepak Mohanty, and Tanmaya Mohanty.
Project Kaushal 2.0 creates clear educational pathways for students. The company will send the second batch of young students to KIIT in Bhubaneswar for their ITI training. At the same time, the company will enroll the first batch of diploma students at CV Raman Global University, also in Bhubaneswar. The company wants to teach young people skills that modern industries actually need. This training will help them find good jobs and build stable careers.
The company has already achieved success with its earlier training groups. Currently, 46 students from the first ITI batch are actively completing their training. In addition, 90 local young women are receiving apparel training at ABLBL in Bhubaneswar. The company prepares these women to work as master trainers. They will soon manage a new apparel unit that the company plans to open in Phuljhoba.
