No Water, No Vote: Daringbadi Villagers Demand Urgent Tube Well

Lack of Clean Water

The government has not provided any safe drinking water facilities to this village. During the summer, people dig small pits in the forests and fields to collect water. They must use this dirty pit water for their daily needs. Drinking this unsafe water causes many health issues. Villagers report that some people have even lost their lives due to water-related diseases.

Administrative Inaction

The state government runs several clean water schemes. However, these programs have not reached Nahadimaha Sahi. The villagers have submitted many written and verbal complaints. They reported the issue to the local ward member, sarpanch, samiti member, and the block administration. Sadly, the officials have taken no action to help the villagers.

Poor Road Conditions

The village also lacks basic roads. People struggle to travel, especially during the rainy season. The dirt roads become muddy and make it very difficult to walk or drive. The area urgently needs basic development.

Public Warning and Demands

Many local residents demand the immediate installation of a new tube well. These residents include Nityananda Patamajhi, Pramod Pradhan, Shramik Sunamajhi, Lankeshwar Sunamajhi, Harshananda Patamajhi, Kapil Pradhan, and Sudam Pradhan. They gave a strict warning to the local administration. If the government does not solve the water problem soon, the villagers will protest on the streets. They also warned that they will boycott the upcoming panchayat elections.
