Nayagarh: The city of Nayagarh celebrated the 91st District-level Odisha Day with great energy and respect. The grand event took place at the Pathani Samanta Sanskruti Bhawan. Local leaders, officials, and many citizens gathered to honor the history of their state.

Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo attended the function as the chief guest. He began the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In his speech, he spoke about the rich heritage and culture of Odisha. He reminded the audience that Odisha was the first state in India formed on a linguistic basis. This achievement was the result of many years of hard work and sacrifice.

Honoring the Heroes of Odisha

The Deputy Chief Minister spent time talking about the "Great Sons of the Soil." These are the leaders who fought for a separate Odisha province. He specifically mentioned Utkal Mani Gopabandhu Das, Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Das, and Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Narayan Deb.
Mr. Singh Deo said that these great men had a vision for a united Odisha. They wanted the Odia language and culture to have a unique identity. He stated that the people of Odisha will always remain grateful to them. Their bravery and wisdom helped create the modern state we live in today. He encouraged the younger generation to learn from these heroes. 

A Gathering of Leaders

Many other important leaders joined the celebration. The MLA of Khandapada, Dusmanta Kumar Swain, was present at the event. The MLA of Nayagarh, Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo, and the MLA of Daspalla, Ramesh Chandra Behera, also attended. These leaders shared their thoughts on the progress of the district and the state.
The speakers at the event talked about building a "New Odisha." They want the state to grow in education, technology, and economy. However, they also reminded everyone to stay connected to their roots. The culture of Odisha is its greatest strength.
