Nayagarh: (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): Model Degree College in Lathipada successfully hosted its Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony for 2025. The college organised this event to bring out hidden talents and promote overall excellence among the students.

Event Highlights

The organisers started the program with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Students then performed a formal welcome song. Dr. Manas Ranjan Satapathy, the Principal of the college, chaired the meeting. He distributed prizes to the meritorious students. Guest speaker Sri Gouramohan Sahu also attended the event and delivered an inspiring speech to the students.

Key Award Winners

  • Best Graduate: The college awarded this trophy to Subhasmita Mohanty, a Political Science student for the 2024-25 academic year. She also received a cash prize of 2,000 rupees.
  • Best Literary Award: Sasmita Pradhan, a Botany student, proudly accepted this award.

Organisers and Attendees

Members of the student union advisory board managed the entire program. This team included Madhusmita Mohapatra, Dr. Prakash Kumar Sahu, Dr. Aniya Kumar Samantara, and Bijay Kumar Sahu. Dipika Rani Turuk smoothly hosted the stage events.
Hundreds of students attended the celebration. Many faculty members also joined the gathering. The attendees included Dr. Santosh Kumar Behera, Dr. Jyotsnarani Kar, Dr. Aparajita Mishra, Rinabala Ghadei, Dr. Sunil Chandra Pradhan, Ritishree Mallick, and Bibhuti Bhusan Pradhan.
