Keonjhar: (Report- Kartik Behera): Patients face long waits and difficult conditions at the Keonjhar district government hospital. A new hospital rule limits the neurologist to treating only 60 patients each day.
Under this new system, the hospital registers 25 appointments online. Staff members issue the remaining 35 tickets offline at the hospital counter. Because of this strict daily limit, patients begin standing in line at midnight just to secure a ticket.
A large number of people arrive at the hospital to seek medical care. However, the hospital stops registering people once they reach the 60-patient quota. As a result, staff members turn many patients away. These remaining individuals must go home and wait several more days to finally see the doctor.
