Bahadajhola: (Report- Ashok Kumar Sahoo): A lightning strike caused a significant power disruption in the Nayagarh district on Sunday afternoon. The strike damaged critical infrastructure on the 11 kV power line connecting Bhatasahi and Bandamuhi.

According to officials from TPCODL (Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Limited), the lightning hit a pin insulator, causing a technical fault. This damage immediately cut off the electricity supply to the affected areas.

Rapid Response by Technical Teams

The staff from the Bahadajhola section reached the spot shortly after the incident was reported. Technical teams are currently working to replace the damaged equipment and restore the power flow.
