The five-day-long religious celebration has been meticulously planned, with all preparations reaching their final stage. The event will begin with a massive Kalash Shobhayatra (sacred procession) on Thursday, marking the auspicious start of the Ghrutyangyan.
A series of spiritual rituals and ceremonies are scheduled during the festival, including Ghrita Yajna, Gyana Yajna, Anna Yajna, Garbhadhana, Rudrabhishek, Shodashopachar Puja, Chandi Path, Surya Puja, Nagara Parikrama of the deities, and Dhwajarohan (flag hoisting).
In addition to the religious activities, the temple committee has organized various cultural programs, with Baithaki Kirtan being the main attraction. Renowned singers from Western Odisha, including Pradeep Sahu, Bignasi Barik, and Devaki Sahu, are scheduled to perform.
According to local sources, the origin of this sacred site dates back to around 1940, when a devoted Shiva follower, Dhanu Meher, initiated worship under a tree at the site with the support of villagers from Sinapali and Kapsi. The place, known as Mahadev Gudi, has since remained a symbol of faith for the local community. At that time, Saudagar Das from Kapsi village was entrusted with the puja responsibilities.

Later, in 2016, under the leadership of then Sarpanch Satyaban Meher and with the support of local residents, efforts were made to construct a permanent temple. The land for the temple was generously donated by Yamuna Meher, wife of late Mohan Meher. With collective public support, the temple construction was successfully completed.
The grand inauguration of this beautifully built Shiva temple has brought immense joy and spiritual enthusiasm to the entire region.
