Bhanjanagar, April 6: (Report- Jaya Krishna Patnaik): The demand for digital media is growing every day. To bring journalists from across the Ganjam district together, the Odisha Digital Media Federation held its first district executive meeting at Palaspur, near Patapur.

The meeting followed the directions of State President Manoj Kumar Satpathy. District President Amarendra Patnaik led the session. Many digital media representatives from various blocks of the district attended the event.

The members discussed several important topics to improve the future of digital journalism in the region:
  • Goals and Vision: The members talked about the federation’s purpose and its future plans.
  • Journalist Welfare: A major focus was placed on the challenges faced by digital journalists. The federation aims to protect their interests and resolve their professional issues.
  • Organizational Strength: Leaders emphasized that unity among members is the key to building a powerful organization.

Several senior leaders and journalists shared their views during the meeting, including Vinod Kumar Panda (District Secretary), Nigamananda Panda (Vice President), Subrat Das (Vice President), Bijayananda Tripathi, (State Vice President), Kabiraj Patra (State General Secretary) and Jayakrishna Patnaik (Senior Journalist).

Moving Forward

Senior journalist Jagannath Panigrahi helped organise the event smoothly. At the end of the meeting, the members decided to launch a membership drive to include more digital journalists. The federation pledged to provide all necessary support and benefits to its members to ensure a strong and professional digital media community in Ganjam.
