Bhanjanagar: (Report- Jaya Krishna Patnaik): The historic Thakurani festival is approaching in Bhanjanagar of Ganjam district. Police are taking strict measures to maintain peace and order before the event. 
During a night patrol on the 15th of this month, Sub-Inspector Samir Kumar Sethi and his team received a secret tip-off. The information pointed to illegal activities happening at a house in the Shankha Sahi area.
A police team, including female officers, reached the yellow building late at night. They raided the house and successfully stopped an unlawful operation. Officers arrested the main operator, identified as Amar Nayak, also known as Gita. They also arrested four individuals who were visiting the house as clients.
During the raid, the police safely rescued a 26-year-old woman. The main operator had recently brought her from Bhubaneswar to exploit her. Further investigation revealed that the operator regularly brought innocent women from Bhubaneswar and Berhampur to run this illegal business.
Police seized five mobile phones and other incriminating materials from the house. Inspector-in-Charge Jibanananda Jena confirmed the incident. He stated that the police registered Case Number 326/26 and sent the accused individuals to court today.
