ANGUL: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited several locations in the Angul district to launch a series of infrastructure and welfare projects. These initiatives aim to boost local administration, tourism, and community facilities in the region.

New Infrastructure for Public Service

During his visit to Chhendipada, the Union Minister inaugurated the new office of the Balipatta Revenue Inspector. Mr. Pradhan stated that this modern facility will speed up the resolution of land-related issues for local citizens. He emphasized that efficient administrative services are essential for rural development.
Additionally, the Minister opened a new office for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chhendipada. Local residents and party workers welcomed him with a grand reception. During the event, Mr. Pradhan highlighted the commitment of the "Double Engine Government" to the overall growth of Odisha. He noted that the government is prioritizing key areas such as: 


  • Improved transportation and road networks.
  • Advanced irrigation systems for farmers.
  • Social security schemes for the vulnerable.
  • Housing for all under the PM Awas Yojana.

Boosting Tourism and Employment

In another significant move, Mr. Pradhan visited the Derjang Dam in Banarpal. He inaugurated new boating facilities at the reservoir to attract more tourists. The Minister believes that enhancing the dam's appeal will put Derjang on the regional tourism map.
"This project will not only provide recreation for visitors but also create new job opportunities for local youth," Mr. Pradhan said. By promoting eco-tourism, the government aims to strengthen the local economy and provide sustainable livelihoods.

Community Development and Religious Visits

The Minister also inaugurated the new Panchayat office and a passenger rest shed in Turanga. He reiterated that the government's top priority is to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of the common people.
Earlier in the day, the Minister focused on the cultural and spiritual heritage of the district. He participated in the installation ceremony of the new temple and deity at the Maa Brahmani Devi Temple in Brahmanidei Pada. He also offered prayers at the Majhika Kashi Baidyanath Temple, seeking blessings for the prosperity of the state.
Through these diverse projects, the Union Minister signaled a strong focus on balancing modern infrastructure with traditional values to drive the district's progress.
