NAYAGARH: (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): "A teacher never truly retires. They remain a teacher for life, carrying the dignity of the profession until the very end."
These were the heartfelt words of renowned poet and author Godabarish Mishra at a farewell ceremony held today. The event was organised to honor Satyabhama Devi, an assistant teacher at the West Town Government Primary School under Nayagarh Municipality, on the occasion of her retirement.

During the event, speakers highlighted Satyabhama Devi’s long years of service and her unwavering commitment to education. Colleagues, former students, and parents expressed how her teachings on hard work, discipline, and values would continue to guide students toward a bright future.

The gathering saw a large turnout, including headmasters from schools under the New Town cluster, Anganwadi workers, and local residents. Everyone joined together to wish the retiring teacher a peaceful and meaningful life ahead, acknowledging that while her official tenure ends, her influence as an educator remains permanent.
