NAYAGARH: (Report - Ramakrushna Rath): Building a sense of community and strengthening professional bonds, the Nayagarh Journalist Association organised a grand "Bandhu Milan" (get-together) program on Friday. The event took place at a scenic farmhouse near the Panipoila Sugar Mill, bringing together media professionals and local leaders for a day of celebration and discussion.
The event saw a significant turnout, with over 140 journalists representing various blocks of the Nayagarh district. The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss the importance of journalist unity and the shared responsibility of ensuring the safety and security of media personnel in the field.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to protect the rights of journalists and maintain high standards of reporting. Attendees enjoyed the rural setting of the farmhouse, which provided a perfect break from their hectic daily schedules. By the end of the day, the "Bandhu Milan" succeeded in its goal: bringing the "fourth pillar of democracy" closer together in a spirit of harmony.
