Nayagarh: (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): Model Degree College recently hosted a vibrant food festival on its campus. The event was organised to encourage students and showcase their culinary skills.
The college Principal, Dr. Manas Ranjan Satapathy, presided over the event. Mr. Priyabrata Raut, the Officer-in-Charge of Itamati Police Station, officially inaugurated the festival.
Several faculty members, including Gaura Mohan Sahoo, Madhusmita Mahapatra, and Dr. Santosh Kumar Behera, were present to support the students and ensure the event's success.

Highlights of the Festival
Under the guidance of Dr. Jyotsnarani Kar, students set up approximately 38 stalls. They prepared a wide variety of dishes, ranging from traditional Odia delicacies to popular street food. The menu included:- Traditional Sweets: Poda Pitha, Malpua, and Rabidi.
- Savory Snacks: Chat, Chole Bhature, and Mudhi (Puffed Rice).
- Main Courses: Mutton Curry and Chakuli Pitha.
Encouraging Entrepreneurship
The festival was a huge success. Students and staff members enjoyed the delicious food at affordable prices. Beyond the cooking, the event helped students develop a business mindset as they managed their stalls and interacted with customers.Several faculty members, including Gaura Mohan Sahoo, Madhusmita Mahapatra, and Dr. Santosh Kumar Behera, were present to support the students and ensure the event's success.
