BHAWANIPATNA: (Report by Sanatan Mahakud): The History Department at Karlapada Graduate College successfully hosted a welcome ceremony for its new first-year students. Second and final-year students in the department organized the event to greet their incoming peers. 
Ranjit Meher, the Head of the Department and a college leader, presided over the welcome function. College Principal Prashanta Kumar Sadangi attended as a distinguished guest.
The entire staff and student body ensured the program’s success with their full cooperation. Faculty members present included Mohan Putel (Odia Lecturer), Nab Kishore Pradhan (English Lecturer), Dr. Madhumita Dhangadamajhi (Sanskrit Lecturer), and Lalit Kumar Panda. Clerk Darpaka Bag was also in attendance.
Lecturer Subhashree Panda coordinated the event, and Nab Kishore Pradhan delivered the vote of thanks. The History Department also honored female students who successfully passed the 6th semester last year.
The welcome ceremony concluded with a cultural program. Students who performed included Chandrakanti Pari, Ruchismita Naik, Dolly Bag, Diya Naik, Papita Sahu, Namita Majhi, and Jyotsna Majhi.
