New Delhi – The Odisha Day at the ongoing India International Trade Fair (IITF) in New Delhi became a vibrant celebration of the state’s rich heritage and ambitious economic plans, with Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi presiding over the festivities. The event highlighted Odisha's commitment to presenting its unique identity on a national and international platform.

Chief Minister Majhi personally toured the meticulously designed Odisha Pavilion, a major attraction at this year's fair. He also enjoyed a captivating cultural performance at the amphitheater of the Bharat Mandapam. The program featured traditional Odia music and dance, mesmerizing the audience with the state's artistic depth.
This year, the Odisha Pavilion stands out for its breathtaking and majestic design. It creatively weaves together iconic elements of the state’s identity. The pavilion draws inspiration from the sacred Shri Jagannath Temple, the intricate art of Pattachitra paintings, and the glorious maritime history of the Kalinga era. This synthesis presents Odisha's art, heritage, and culture in a highly attractive and comprehensive manner for visitors from across India and the world.

The pavilion is not just a visual treat but also a bustling marketplace. It hosts numerous stalls that showcase the entrepreneurial spirit of Odisha’s artisans. Women Self-Help Groups and weavers are displaying a wide array of authentic handloom textiles and traditional handicrafts. Visitors can also purchase exquisite stone craft artworks and sample a variety of delicious ready-to-eat food products made from the renowned 'Sri Anna' (millet).
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Majhi outlined his government's focused agenda. "Our government's goal is to achieve transformational growth," he stated. He emphasized that the 'double-engine' government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is working diligently to realize the dream of a prosperous Odisha.

The Chief Minister detailed the significant progress made in the last year and a half in key social sectors. He pointed to widespread changes in education, healthcare, and women's empowerment. On the infrastructure front, he listed several landmark projects that have been initiated, aligning with the state's 'Vision 2036'. These ambitious initiatives include the construction of 15,000 kilometers of world-class roads, the development of new ports at Bhadua and Kendrapara, and the establishment of an international airport in Puri.
In the industrial sector, the government has successfully attracted investment proposals worth over Rs. 1.7 lakh crore. A special grand plan is also in place to develop the state capital, Bhubaneswar, as the epicenter of growth for Eastern India.
