Nayagarh: (Report - Rama Krushna Rath): The Nayagarh district recently celebrated Janjatiya Gaurav Divas (Tribal Pride Day) 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event honored the legacy of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a revered freedom fighter and tribal icon, on his 150th birth anniversary.
The district-level function took place at Takara High School in the Daspalla block. It saw participation from over a thousand local residents, community members, and officials.
· Under the Forest Land Rights Act, the administration handed over 21 Community Resource Title Deeds (CRs) to Village Forest Rights Committees. This action strengthens the community's control over local forest resources.
Shri Chittaaranjan Behera, the District Welfare Officer, skillfully managed the entire program. In the concluding session, Additional District Welfare Officer Shri Dushmant Prusti extended a formal vote of thanks to all the guests, departmental officers, beneficiaries, and the public for making the event a success.
