His startup, Cognitii, co-founded with innovators Jhilika Trisal from Gurugram ( an alumnus of Shoolini University) and Falguni Shrivastava, from Raipur ( an alumnus of Shoolini University), has won the prestigious $100,000 Unlock Her Future Prize 2025, awarded by The Bicester Collection.
Heritage Alumnus Wins$100K Global AI Prize for Special Ed

Selected from over 2,900 applications across 40+ countries, Cognitii was named one of six international winners for developing an AI-driven platform aimed at strengthening public special education systems. The platform integrates early screening tools, learning systems, educator co-pilots, and policy dashboards—filling critical gaps in India’s disability identification and inclusion frameworks.
Before founding Cognitii, Souvik developed several impactful AI applications, including tools for women’s safety and for predicting heart disease, demonstrating a consistent commitment to social good through technology.
With pilots already running in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala, Cognitii is working closely with state systems to improve disability prevalence tracking, inclusion outcomes, and budget use. The $100K award will support deeper government partnerships and accelerate the creation of India’s first national disability data layer.
“This recognition marks an extraordinary moment not only for Cognitii but also for millions of children who remain unseen in mainstream systems,” Souvik said.
Heritage Institute of Technology congratulates Souvik Ghosh on this historic achievement. His journey exemplifies the spirit of innovation, compassion, and excellence that the institution stands for.
"This achievement by Souvik Ghosh reflects the true spirit of Heritage — where innovation meets purpose. At a time when India is advancing rapidly in AI and digital education, Cognitii’s global recognition demonstrates how technology can transform lives at the grassroots. We are immensely proud of Souvik’s journey, his commitment to social impact, and his vision for inclusive education. This global win is not just a milestone for him, but an inspiration for every young engineer and innovator in our country." said Shri Pradip Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata
