Banigochha, July 2, 2025: (Report- Subash Chandra Barik): Embracing the powerful adage "Plant Treies, Build the Future" (Briksha Debo Bhaba), the staff of the Banigochha West Wildlife Division actively participated in a meaningful tree plantation drive today.

The event marked the celebration of the 76th annual Van Mahotsav week, a nationwide festival dedicated to forests.

Held within the office campus of the Banigochha West Wildlife Division, the program saw enthusiastic participation from forest personnel. Each staff member personally planted at least one sapling, demonstrating a hands-on commitment to environmental restoration. Crucially, every participant also pledged to take personal responsibility for the nurturing and care of their newly planted trees, ensuring their survival and growth.
Following the plantation activity, Mr. Sansar Baragi, the Banigochha Range Officer, addressed the gathering. He underscored the indispensable role trees play for human society and the planet. Officer Baragi emphasized the critical ecological services provided by trees, including oxygen production, air purification, soil conservation, biodiversity support, and climate regulation. His remarks served as a potent reminder of the collective duty to protect and expand forest cover.
